River Hill Garden Center opened in April 1992. Owners Steve and Cathy Klein, Howard County residents, foresaw the growth potential of the Clarksville Maryland area and selected a site that was centrally located between the rapidly expanding city of Columbia and the rolling farmlands and estates of western Howard County.

Starting out as purely a Nursery, Garden Center and Landscaping operation, River Hill Garden Center has rapidly expanded by leaps and bounds. An extensive gift and collectibles section and a huge greenhouse for foliage and flowering plants were soon added. To complete the picture, at holiday time a glittering Christmas Shop, filled with the sights, sounds and scents of the holidays, quickly became a not-to-be missed family destination.

What's next? At River Hill Garden Center, our ongoing goal is to strive to expand our selection, maintain our high quality and, at the same time, implement innovative improvements that will make your shopping experience more exciting and pleasant.
